My house only leaks from a attic vent it's not rated for Texas rainfall!! My house has some of the contractors listed under the kitchen sink it's Dr Horton it's decent. The shingles are cheap on these houses though.

I live in houston, on the southeast side. Have a 22yr old two story, and the last 2-3 years the floor/decking of the 2nd floor is pushing/heaving upward in various spots. There are no signs of heaving directly below these spots on the first floor though. As the weeks/years go by, the heaving spots seem to be multiplying and getting worst. Any thoughts of what may be causing this? Could this be foundation related, or moreso structural? Considering calling in a structural engineer. Thanks for your advice!

Where they trying to kill you? Do you think someone would notice if they turn the gas on and it were just spewing out underneath? Wouldn't it make a very obvious sound and you'd see a very obvious stream of a cloud spraying out and evaporating? Not to mention the stink? I don't understand how that can happen accidentally.

The ladder against the chimney is good safe spot when available. This also help protect gutters if there is any on a home, We also like to find the leas risk areas when getting on a roof. I have seen so many bad flip inspections on UA-cam, it is scary, lots of houses for sale are flips. find the right inspector before you commit. I had a realtor who told me I couldn't do an inspection on a house. well, guess what no longer my realtor. Always pay that money to inspect and find the right inspector not one the realtor suggests.
